Congratulations to the track team on their performances at the regional meet at Brethren. State qualifiers were Easton Nowak and Melodie Hulinek earning regional champion honors in the long jump, and 200m. Finishing 2nd, and also qualifying for the state meet are Easton Nowak in High Jump, the girls 800m Relay team (Melodie Hulinek, Tessa Rutherford, LilyAnne Artman and Natalie Brown), and also the 1600m Relay team (Natalie Brown, Tessa Rutherford, Libby Daugherty, and Melodie Hulinek). Isabella Card finished 4th in the pole vault, also earning the opportunity to compete at the state finals by clearing 8’0″. Additional medalists for the boys were: Jacob Miller (3rd-100m, 7th-200m), Michael Daugherty (5th-400m), Nolan Koscinski (4th-1600m), 800 Relay (4th- Caleb Poland, Michael Daugherty, Easton Nowak, Jacob Miller), and 1600 Relay (Jacob Miller, Michael Daugherty, Nolan Koscinski, Camrin Poland). Girls Medalists were: Melodie Hulinek (3rd-400m), Natalie Brown (3rd-High Jump), 400m Relay (4th- Mackenzie Decker, LilyAnne Artman, Isabella Card, Maria Magana Garcia), 3200 Relay (4th- Tessa Rutherford, Liberty Daugherty, Lauren Pulido-Huber, Isabella Card), and LilyAnne Artman (5th-Long Jump).
The MS track team travels to Brethren to compete in Regionals. The first event starts at 10:00 and they leave at 9:25. Please excuse athletes at 9:15.
