March is reading month! Elementary students dress up as:
Today: Dress for a trip to the beach or wear yellow.
Tomorrow: Dress like the Mexican Flag. K-2: Green, 3-4: Red, 5-6: White
Wednesday: Wear camo and orange
Thursday: Dress for a fishing trip or wear blue.
Friday: Wear your PJs.
Friday, March 27th is the last day of the third marking period.
Spring Break is Monday, March 30th through Friday, April 3rd. School resumes Monday, April 6th.
Free Spring Break activities for 6th through 12th grade students in Manistee Saturday, March 28th through Saturday, April 4th. For a list of activities please visit armoryyouthproject.com or the community events bulletin board.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday, April 9th. Students will be released at 12:50.

Sesame Street’s “Oscar the Grouch” wasn’t always green. During the first season of the show, he was actually orange.
Laker Sports:
The Bear Lake Robotics team was selected as one of 24 teams out of 40 to compete in the District Championship rounds on Saturday and advanced to the final four semifinals before losing to the eventual championship team 161 to 170. Bear Lake team members participating in this tournament included: Fredrick Putney, Jaxson Frye, Devin Shook, Dian Green, Eli Smith, and Blake Love.
The varsity track team had a great day on Friday at GVSU. Easton Nowak was one medal winner, finishing in 5th place in the high jump. Personal bests were set by most of the team, congratulations to everyone on their performances.
8th-11th grade students interested in the possibility of joining a wrestling team next winter, please sign up in the HS office. Students signing up can not dual sport with basketball.

HS Softball: 5:00-7:00
MS Baseball: 6:00-8:00
